    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Sorry for late reply. Yes, there is a connection. Both are bonafide sampradayas. Now the question is what is a sampradaya?

Suppose I were to go to your house, I will tell you I want to come, please give me directions. Immediately, you will ask me, from which direction will you come, depending on from where I come, you will give me directions. Now just think, if there is more than one way to reach your house, then there are definitely multiple ways to reach God. God has Himself said there are 4 bonafide ways (sampradayas) through which to reach Him. The Rudra Sampradaya (led by Lord Shiva), the Nimbarka Sampradaya (led by the 4 Kumaras), the Shree Sampradaya (led by Lakshmi devi) and the Brahma Samprdaya.

Our ISKCON movement is of the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya.

Both Shri Sampradaya and ISKCON are bonafide paths, therefore there is a lot of mutual respect among them. I have personally seen how the Jeears of Shri Sampradaya (highest authority) say words of eloquence to Srila Prabhupada. THey are very grateful to His Divine Grace, for spreading the name of Krsna across the world. Similarly, there are members of ISKCON who have the highest respect for the devotees of Shri Sampradaya.

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu visited Srirangam and spent 4 months of chaturmaas in the house of Venkata Bhatt, father of Gopal Bhatt Goswami.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD

Srila Prabhupada Letter to Upendra, 02-13-68, Boston

"There are four Sampradayas from the beginning of the creation. One is called Brahma Sampradaya, and is coming down by disciplic succession from Brahma; another Sampradaya is coming down from Laksmi, called Sri Sampradaya; another is coming down from the Kumaras, they are known as Nimbarka Sampradaya; another Sampradaya is coming from Lord Siva, Rudra Sampradaya or Visnu Swami. These are four bona fide Sampradayas that are accepted by the bona fide spiritualists. The Impersonalist Sampradaya is not original, neither the Impersonalist Sampradaya or party can help us. At the present moment there are so many Sampradayas, but we have to test them about their method of disciplic understanding. Anyway, all the four Sampradayas above mentioned, they are after worshipping the Supreme Lord Visnu, in His different Expansions, and some of them are in favor of worshipping Radha Krishna."

  • Pranams. Sri samprdaya and ISKCON are two bonafide sampradayas. ISKCON is under Bhrama sampradaya. Both are bonafide sampradayas. There are subtle shades of differences in finer details but in essence they both teach love of Godhead.
