Hare Krishna, respected devotees, 🪷

Pranam. I am a humble servant striving to advance in Krishna consciousness. I sincerely desire to deepen my devotion, maintain regular chanting, and grow spiritually under the guidance of a bona fide Shiksha Guru.

I humbly request the mercy of a qualified Shiksha Guru who can personally guide me, monitor my practice, and provide proper bhakti counseling, so that I may remain steady in devotional service.

I live in a tribal region where the local temple is present, yet I understand the senior devotees are often occupied with the responsibilities of nurturing the temple and preaching to others. Even so, I earnestly seek your kind guidance, support, and instructions to help me sincerely progress in Krishna consciousness.

My aspiration is to serve faithfully, chant regularly, and grow in love for Krishna under proper supervision. Any opportunity to receive instruction and be guided by a Shiksha Guru would be received with the utmost gratitude and humility.

I offer my pranams at your lotus feet and remain eager to follow your instructions sincerely.

Your humble servant,
दासानु-दास 🪷
Khagendra

    Hare Krsna PRabhuji,

    PAMHO.

So happy to read your message. Steeped in sincerity. Yes, one should always seek out shiksha guru. Shiksha guru can be more than one. A sincere seeker can learn from anyone and anything. In Srimad Bhagawatam, there is mention of 24 gurus - these range from a poor brahmana to a prostitute to elements,

For starters, until you find a guru, please follow the ABCDE of devotion. You may already be following, I am mentioned for reference.

A - Association of devotees. The power of association is to be experienced to be believed. It is said that we are defined by the company we keep. So please visit the local ISKCON temple whenever you can and associate with devotees over there. If possible, render some service there so that they also benefit and you also.

B - books. Please make it a habit to read Srila Prabhupada's books daily - you could start with small books and progress to bigger books. Srila Prabhupada mentioned that he will continue to live through his books. If we read his books scrutinisingly, then he only becomes our foremost guru.

C - chanting. Please chant atleast 16 rounds of mahamantra everyday. I was told before I took initiation - as long as you are chanting 16, following 4 and associating with Stila Prabhupada through his books it is enought to take you back to Godhead.

D - diet. Please take a diet of Krsna Prasada only. Whatever you eat, whatever comes out of your kitchen, must be offered to the lord before it is offered to family or friends.

E - ekadasi. Please fast on ekadasis. it is a good way to stay fit and also to get closer to the lord.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

    Radha Rasamayi DD
