Is this the reason why they sent you to the mental hospital for playing the Hare Krsna mantra with your guitar? I can relate to your predicament because I use to have an acoustic guitar. I imagine I was Narada Muni. I played my acoustic instrument loudly to the tune of " My sweet Lord...I really wanna see you Lord but it take so long my Lord..Hare Krsna..Hare Krsna, " composed by Beatle George Harrison. I even had a flute. Imagining I was in Vrndavan waltzing with the gopis.Wow! I was so obsessed with Hare Krsna that my wife placed all of the 64 volumes of Srimad Bhagavatam my childhood neighbor Gausundara das lent me inside a jute sack and returned them to him by surprise without ado. Even in the subdivision where we lived, our neighbors were alarmed at the loud music volume coming from our stereo, " Van deh gurushi charanaravindam..van deh gurushi charanaravindam. " I was always in ecstasy with Hare Krishna. Unfortunately, my parents, my wife, my family did not like what I was doing. In my clinic, my patients would stare at me listening to what I have to say about reincarnation and karma, all that stuff. Then I finally I realize I have to be sober. After the Catholic Church in our place ex-communicated me for being vocal about Hare Krishna to the detriment of the Church in our locality. But I survived. I was able to return to my past religion. I am more mature now with my views.
