Ramanujacarya's body still preserved in Srirangam

Please accept my humble obeisances.

Recently one the lecture I heard that, Ramanujacarya's body is mummified and till keeping Ayurveda on his body, age more than 800 years. Is that true.

Please tell me how significance is that to preserve the body of acarya.
