    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Regarding this shloka - One who is not motivated by false ego, whose intelligence is not entangled, though he kills men in this world, is not the slayer. Nor is he bound by his actions.

Who is a person who is not motivated by false ego? Such a person has to be situated in his true ego - right? Only such a person can claim that his intelligence is not entangled. Then why would such a person kill? Such a person can kill only as a matter of duty, situated in his true ego of being the part and parcel and eternal servant of God, supersoul. When he is allowing the spiritual master and Krsna to use his body as an instrument, how can he be the doer? He is just the instrument. That is the reason he is not bound by his action.

Like you know, every person does some or the other action throughout the day and night and there is reaction for every action. The only action or karma which does not have a reaction is akarma or devotional service. So, if such a person is killing as a duty towards the supreme lord, he is not bound by that action because it is devotional service for him.

Example of the above is Arjuna - he wanted to leave the war before it began, he didnt want to fight friends and family. After the Gita gyaan, he fought the war, not to kill his kinsmen, but as a duty to fulfill the desire of the supreme lord (karisye vacanam tava).

I hope I have been able to explain.

PLease ask if there are further doubts.

    Haribol,

    Your servant,

One who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering the results unto the Supreme God, is not affected by sinful action, as the lotus leaf is untouched by water. ( BG 5.10)

Lord  had stated that those who are detached from results are never tainted by sin. From a material perspective, they may appear to be working, but from a spiritual perspective, they are free from selfish motivations, and therefore they do not become bound by the results of karma.

When Lord is doing justice, He never sees any brother mother or any relationship. He just does justice. When implementing dharma ( law). Lord teaches Arjuna the same thing in this verse ( 18.17 BG) As a duty you perform action forget about the result of karma just do your prescribed duty of kshetriya and leave rest to me.

The day you feel you are responsible for all you actions it means you are identifying urself with the body. You fall entangled in the clutches of maya and moha.  You lament and fear for implementing dharma upon ur own kith and kin.

If one is not motivated by any false ego than he will understand that everything is Lord's plan and Lord's direction everything is happening. He loses the ownership over things and he becomes desireless ( nishkaam) . He wont work for his selfish pleasure anymore. He will just do what is needful to be done.

    I give two examples...

One person kills a cow for his taste buds sake..( selfish desire).

another person kills a man who was disrobing a female in public arena

decide who is sinful? Obviously  person who is killing for his selfish sake for quenching his senses is surely a sinner.

person who slay someone for dharma is not considered sinful. He is not bound by his actions when he is enforcing dharma.

pls.also go thru Srila Prabhupada purport of the verse 5.10 BG
