Question about the Divine Form of Hari-Hara

Hare Krishna

AGTSP

I have heard/seen a divine form of Sri Visnu/Sri Maheshwara. It is called Hari-Hara. He appears to be Half Visnu, Half Siva, and I have read he is worshipped by both Saivites, and Vaisnavas. I am very attracted to this image, because I have always loved Lord Mahadeva, as well as The Supreme Lord Visnu. But I do not know the story to this image, nor do I know if Srila Prabhupada said it was alright to worship this image.

If someone knows more about this, please enlighten me because I do not want to commit any offenses that I can avoid.
