Question

My question is that in ramayan when hanumanji went to get sanjivani buti how did kaalnevi reach there before hanuman and tried to stop hanumaji.

As per what I know hanumanji was the son of vaayudev and he had 8 siddhis and he also defeated Garuda in speed of flying then how could kaalnevi get there before hanumanji.

Hare krishna plz answer this🙏

  • Hare Krishna,

Kalanemi is an asura son of Virochona, who is grandson of  Hiranyakashyapa  it seems,

if you break the word kala nemi   ( kala means time  nemi means wheel ) or wheel of time. or kala chakra

now this demon is very deceptive and keeps taking birth from time to time.

he was first killed by Vishnu in a war in which asuras attacked the devatas... but again and again he appears.  (He loves Lord so much look he becomes demon every time to be killed by Lord Krishna laughing  (just kidding)

finally  iska episode khatam hoga tab tak ye kalanemi ka cycle of time khatam nahi hoga.) This Kalanemi later on became Kamsa to be killed by Lord Sri Krishna.

Kalanemi has magical powers itseems of deception and cunning ness.

he tricked Hanuman to halt at a place for water while travelling to get Sanjivini.

Kalanemi made a small hut and acted like a sage doing penance to make him go late to the mandara mountain to get sanjivani.

he guides hanuman ji and gives wrong directions to the way to mandarachal mountains.

in this way he takes advantage and gets their early.

when hanuman ji understand the trickster as aligator or crocodile which was cursed bites the leg of hunuman ji when refreshing in the pond and when he tears open the crocodile it turns into a beautiful demigod form and tells she got cursed to be in this pond so her curse is relieved today and gives a hint about the asura in disguise who is meditating as a sage. Then he kills the Kalanemi demon.

    Hare Krishna
