Pardon My ignorance,can any senior devotee shed some light on purushottam sangam yuga.the 5 th yuga according to one of my friend.

i do not know where does Your good friend get that information, but we know from Srimad Bhagavatam that there are only 4 Yugas. But there is one month called Purushottama (or something like that) which comes only every 4 years. And it is also called as month of Lord Hari very auspicious month.
Maybe he mean the 10 000 years in Kali Yuga, which mentioned by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu that these 10 000 years will be Sattya Yuga. after that Kali Yuga will take for full strength.
