When I was outside I think I met Devotee of the Lord. Afterwards, at home, I think I told my parent that I met Devotee. I have a question. If I suddenly hear, offensive word(s) to the Devotee from my parent/relative, what could I do? Should I just walk away? I do not want to engage myself in offence. Please guide me .
I have another question. What could be done to protect myself from commiting offences?

Hare Krsna Prabhuji,
PAMHO.
Learn from the present experience, and next time dont tell them that you met devotees.
I dont know your situation, looks like you are a student. So you are dependent on your parents. Anyways, parents are in a position of respect. So we do not get into confrontations with parents, unless situation is extreme.
Later, as a normal conversation, you can ask your parent why they dont like devotees. Maybe if you can, take them to local ISKCON temple and make them talk with some devotee couple over there. This could clear a lot of misconceptions they may have.
Please chant very nicely if you want to avoid offences.
Haribol,
Your servant,
