Placement of Deities/Altar/Image at Home

Hare Krishna,

PAMHO devotees,

Is there any rules with respect to placement/installation of the Lords Image/Deities/Altar at Home? For example: It should be facing North or North-East or any other direction etc.?

U should keep pictures or deities facing west or east and north or south face will not be good uh can face north or east while chanting krishnanama jap

PLease refer to Beginner's Guide to Krsna Consciousness by HH Bhakti Vikas Maharaj.

The deities should face east or north, as far as I know.

The altar setup for ISKCON standard is mentioned in detail in that book. I have answered many times on this forum as well, also regarding deity worship. Please see.
