Haribol!
I will be visiting India with my family this August. We have planned to visit Bhubaneswar, Puri, going down to Vizag and travel southwards towards Tirupathi, all along the coastline, following the four lane federal highway road.
I was wondering if any of you devotees could share some tips and ideas about visiting the temples along our journey - any special/important temples to visit, temple's special prohibitions/precautions, food(my family members are non-vegetarians), and etc..
Pranams! Hare Krishna!

Hare Krsna Mataji,
PAMHO.
Having come all the way and going upto Puri, why not start with Kolkata and Mayapur, then proceed to Bhubhneshwar and Puri, then to Vizag, then to Tirupati. It depends on how much time you want to spend - there are places of significance in Kolkata also - it will take 1 day. Then go to Mayapur, there you can spend 3 nights or 7-9 nights, depending on your level of interest and time available. Then proceed to Bhubhneshwar and Puri - it takes 3 days to visit the temples in Puri. Then you can go to Vizag - there Kurma Shetra is nearby - you can drive there - one day trip. Then Tirupati. You will need to book darshan prior to visiting Tirupati and be prepared for a long wait for darshan or any seva that you opt. You can visit TTD website - and see and decide.
Haribol,
Your servant,
