A devotee wants to become serious by coming out of his family and staying in the same city but in a bace or voice etc in association of devotees while doing his work. His home environment is absolutely unfavorable for Bhakti.So he's finding it difficult now to come out of his home because the parents are trying to lure him by using flowery words and also by using relatives(Although he knows he can't progress in bhakti if he stays in home).
So he wants to know all the pastimes of devotees who quit family life to become more serious in Krishna consciousness. So that after hearing those pastimes he'll become strongly situated to come out of his home in-spite of the flowery words of relatives.
Please give a list of the most renowned devotees who left family.

Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupad. I know one devotee who had completed his degree. His parents were plannin to send him to United states of America. But he became fully serious in Krishna consciousness that he left his family and came and joined temple.. Great decision..
