PAMHO.
Krsna is also called Devaki nandana, Yashoda nandana, Vraja Raj Suta, Nand kumar, Nand nandana apart from Vasudev. All these names do not take away the unborn feature of the lord. It is the opulence of the lord that He is unborn, still He appears as child to devotees in vatsalya (parental) bhav and is pleased to be called as their child.
Like Ashwin prabhu explained, there is a meaning to the word Vasudev - it means all pervading. SOmeone who permeates the entire universe. Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevayah - it has very deep meaning.
GIve yourself sometime to meditate on the names of the lord, or on what you are reading. YOu will realise gradually.
