Please Accept My Humble Obeisances.All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.All Glories to Srila Gurudeva.All Glories to Srila Gauranga.Hare KrishnaPlease forgive me if I am committing offense in asking this question.I pray this will enhance everyone's bhakti (devotion) to Our Lord Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhuji.Of all the forms of Lord Sri Krsna, why did Lord Caitanya favor Sri Jagannath, Baladeva, & Subhadra? Why not forms of Sri Nrsimha or Sri Ranganath? What made Sri Jagannath so special to Lord Caitanya?? Is it just because He is from Puri? Please expand my knowledge on this matter. Gaura tattwa is most confidential tattwa, not easy to speak on...or understand, still as service to all the vaishnavas...il make an attempt to present something favourable and pleasing.....
sri gauraanga mahaprabhu represents shrimati radharanis maadanaakhya mahabhaav(carrying a mood of intense separation and longing) also known as vipralambha bhaav...hes prema purushottam( ever thirsty for pure loving exchange).....now please listen...when krsna left vrndavan at the age of 11 n the half, the gopies headed by radharani always hoped that he would return again.....but he never returned! so radharani and all the gopies started fainting and falling unconscious in his absence....even the birds, animals and insects used to give up their bodies...thinking it to be worthless to live without krsna! now this environment and mood was brought down in this dark age of kali by sri gauraanga mahaprabhu! all his associates were these gopies in krsna lila...and now u may understand...why mahaprabhu used to cry and fall unconscious searching out for krsna as mentioned in gaura lila by srila vrindavan das thakur!
now y only lord jagannath...this question can be answered as follows...
as we know, when krsna was in dwaraka...he missed radharani more than satyabhama and rukmini and so when they all asked rukmini devi the reason for the same, she started explaining everything about the love of these vrajavasis...hearing which krsna subhadra and balaram...became ecstatic turning into jagannath subhadra and baldev!
so this form is actually an answer or response from krsna's side to the ecstatic loving transformations shown by the vrajavasis headed by shrimati radharani!
so in mayapur, krsna(nimai pandit) and radharani(gadadhar pandit) were together...and in vrndavan, they were separated...but in puri, those separated transcendental lovers united...as sri gauraanga(radharani) and jagannath(krsna)!
