One word answer: Dovetail
Sounds like you are falling into a trap and it is a dangerous one to your devotional creeper.
Imagine having to worry about counting your rounds when one has a condition called OCD?
So one therapy is to understand the field of activity, the controller of the field, and observe supersoul in action, THEN you can be doing devotional action with "inaction" and be with Krishna all the time. :-)

You need association of devotees to keep you going. If you are unable to get association of devotees in your location, then you should try online - this forum, there are whatsapp groups, study circles, zoom classes....one can do lots.
Can you think like this - I have to get up at 4.00 am everyday, because I have an appointment with Krsna. He is waiting for me, so I better report for Mangalarati. Once you are through with mangalarati, do Nrisimha arati, Tulsi puja, shikshatakam and then sit and chant your rounds. This gives amazing spiritual energy.
I know it is looking like a tall task right now. So start with baby steps. Get a friend or relative or devotee to call you every morning at 4.00 am to wake you up (works better than alarm clock). Immediately take bath and sing the songs of Mangalarati, if you are not upto doing the arati proper initially. Then sit and chant.
If you are waking up later as a routine these days, you cannot suddenly jump to 4.00 am routine. To set that routine, you have to gradually train your body. First - get up for a week 15 min earlier than your usual time, then next week, 30 min before your usual time. This way, graduate to 4.00 am. The trick is to wake up same time everyday, including holiday, including late nights.
Eat only prasadam. Read Gita everyday. Chant everyday.
These are the only things we need to do actually. Bhakti is so simple and so sublime at the same time.

Hare Krsna mata ji...

I have the same respect&affection for you which I had for my own mother. Thank you very much for your reply. It was really so practical that I can directly apply(to my level best) it in my life. I often read your comments they were almost same like my Shiksha Guru HG Gaur Sundar Prabhu. Once again thank you...

hare krishna Prabhu ,Pls read nector of instruction to Progress in krishna Consciousness
One’s devotional service is spoiled when he becomes too entangled in the following six activities: (1) eating more than necessary or collecting more funds than required; (2) over-endeavoring for mundane things that are very difficult to obtain; (3) talking unnecessarily about mundane subject matters; (4) practicing the scriptural rules and regulations only for the sake of following them and not for the sake of spiritual advancement, or rejecting the rules and regulations of the scriptures and working independently or whimsically; (5) associating with worldly-minded persons who are not interested in Kṛṣṇa consciousness; and (6) being greedy for mundane achievements
There are six principles favorable to the execution of pure devotional service: (1) being enthusiastic, (2) endeavoring with confidence, (3) being patient, (4) acting according to regulative principles [such as śravaṇaṁ kīrtanaṁ viṣṇoḥ smaraṇam – hearing, chanting and remembering Kṛṣṇa], (5) abandoning the association of nondevotees, and (6) following in the footsteps of the previous ācāryas. These six principles undoubtedly assure the complete success of pure devotional service.
Hmm,
Well, It is human nature that if we have problems we rush towards temples and God. If we have no problems right now bothering we relax waste time.
But the thing is when you have good time we actually need to be working more spiritually then relaxing.
Now you have good wife everything going smoothly in life it means you are enjoying the fruits of good karma now which you did some time back.
But there is always sukha and dukha coming and going in the life. Tomorrow you may not be in good health or wealth who knows at that time you may not be able to focus much on God. If you are have bad health and hospitalized or suddenly you lose all your wealth you have to face bad conditions in life.....at that time you will more focussed on either you health or improving you circumstances right?
Now is the correct time for you to utilize the time properly to create more good karma for future good times. Don't waste time.
Laziness is tamo gunah. Leave it. Beat you mind day in and out.
Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura used to say that in the morning our first business should be to beat the mind with shoes a hundred times. and, before going to bed, to beat the mind a hundred times with a broomstick. In this way one's mind can be kept under control.
Always make a habit a routine chose one time which is perfect for you chose a lonely good spot to sit and chant. Initially it may be 1-2 rounds also.. no problem but try to be doing routinely without break. Any habit forming takes 21 days.
21 days you strict keep doing even if it is 1-2 rounds also doesn't matter but time and place don't change. fixed time and fixed place to sit is must. once that inertia or sluggish state goes off after 21 days you will follow the it regularly as a habit
Then slowly you can increase your rounds.
Before Starting as you are having so many obstacles in doing Sadhana...take guru blessings and also seek blessings from Srila Prabhupada and pray to lord ganesha the vignadhipati to ward of obstacles in your chanting to steadily progress in chanting.
Finally seek blessings of Lord Keshava only asking Him to be with you to help you chant His holy name.
Hare Krishna.
hare Krsna...
Can you give me the practical example of " beat the mind with shoes a hundred times. and, before going to bed, to beat the mind a hundred times with a broomstick. In this way one's mind can be kept under control." so that I can understand it well and able to apply it in my life..
Thanks For your reply...
Hmm Hare Krishna,
A man must elevate himself by his own mind, not degrade himself. The mind is the friend of the conditioned soul, and his enemy as well.( B.G 6.5)
For him who has conquered the mind, the mind is the best of friends; but for one who has failed to do so, his very mind will be the greatest enemy. ( BG.6.6)
Mind can be controlled If you want to.
Mind comes under the control of the intellect. Intellect makes decisions.
If the Intellect is in KC then the mind is engaged in KC activities only.
Tell me when some favorite thing is going on on TV like cricket ( i donno what is your fav. programme). Then at that time even if you are disturbed do you lose focus. NO you wont.
It is thru Interest one can get engrossment. A painter can paint well a singer can sing well only becoz they love the job they do.
Love for something will make you get interested in that thing. Develop love for Krishna.
Krishna is all attractive. Give all your senses to Krishna. Automatically Mind gets cool and composed focussed on Krishna.
Eyes should see Krishna, Nose should smell tulsi which is the on the feet of Krishna,
Ears should only hear chanting or Krishna katha .., Tongue should only taste food that is offered to Krishna
and Touch and do seva for guru and gau mata. In this way keeping senses all involved in KC activites all the time
engaging moving with devotees can only make you come on KC path again.
Keep visiting IDT it is a great platform for those devotees who are away from temples and association.
You will get back to KC soon.
Hare Krishna.
These are my suggestions, it may not be perfect so pls forgive me
It may help to take some time sit alone and deeply introspect and maybe write down - what I want from my life, what thoughts are stopping me from doing my duties, clarity.. clarity is strength... am I just trying to be 'normal' and fit into society
?? how can I make bhakti more interesting and enjoyable, am I sharing bhakti with others ... because if we don't share it our own enthusiasm tends to go down ...
Please participate in temple programs, kirtan, and visiting holy places like Vrindavan..
Now we have Hare Krishna TV also, and other TV channels too show good stuff sometimes...
Hope these help
