Ahobilam is one among 108 divyadesams.It is celebrated due to the apperance of Lord Narsimha.Here Lord Narsimha is worshipped in nine forms.

The first six temples are located on three hillocks—Garudachalam, Lakshmi Parvatham and Vedachalam in Upper Ahobilam. The other three are in the plains in the foothills known as Lower Ahobilam
EXPLANATION:
1.JWALA NARSIMHA:
Jwala-Narasimha (An eight armed form rushing out of the pillar with a flame like mane)
In the fourteenth incarnation, the Lord appeared as Narasimha and bifurcated the strong body of the atheist Hiranyakasipu with His nails, just as a carpenter pierces cane.

The Jwala Narasimha temple is situated on a hill called Achalachchaya Meru. This is said to be the exact spot where the Lord killed the demon Hiranyakasipu. Next to the temple is a large stream.
The Jwala Narasimha temple is about four kilometers from the Upper Ahobilam temple
2.AHOBILA NARSIMHA
AHOBILA UGRA NARSIMHA
Although very ferocious, the lioness is very kind to her cubs. Similarly, although very ferocious to nondevotees like Hiranyakasipu, Lord Narasimhadeva is very, very soft and kind to devotees like Prahlada Maharaja.

The Ahobila Narasimha Swami temple is situated in Upper Ahobilam. It is the main temple and the earliest of the nine temples. Here the Lord is manifest in His fierce aspect called Ugra Narasimha. The Deity here is svayambhu or self-manifest.
This temple is at a distance of eight kilometers from Lower Ahobilam.
3.MALOLA NARSIMHA
Malola-Narasimha with Goddess Lakshmi on His lap
Lord Narasimhadeva is always assisted by Sarasvati, the goddess of learning, and He is always embracing the goddess of fortune to His chest. The Lord is always complete in knowledge within Himself. Let us offer obeisances unto Nrsimhadeva.

Nearly two kilometers from the main temple of Upper Ahobilam, is the famous shrine of Malola Narasimha Swami. The Deity here appears in saumya (beautiful) from, As Lord Narasimha is seen with His consort, Lakshmi, He is known as Malola Narasimha Swami. The word ‘Malola’ means beloved to Lakshmi (ma-Lakshmi, lola-beloved).
It is said that the Utsava-murti of the Lord appeared to Srimath Adivan Sathokopa Jiyar, the first Jeer of Ahobila matha.
4.KRODA NARSIMHA
KRODA NARSIMHA(VARAHA FORM OF NARSIMHA)
Lord Varaha, the boar incarnation of Lord Krsna, had killed Hiranyakashipu’s evil younger brother Hiranyaksha, and thus the two incarnations Varaha and Narasimha had been installed together in this temple and worshiped for thousands of years.
The Deity here has the face of a boar (Varaha or Kroda) and the Lord is seen along with His consort, Lakshmi. Hence, the Lord is known as Krodakara (Varaha) Narasimha Swami here.
This temple is located one kilometer from the main temple of Ahobila Narasimha Swami on Upper Ahobilam.
5.KARANJA NARSIMHA
Karanja-Narasimha (with bow and arrow like Sri Rama)
The Deity here is installed under a fruit-bearing tree (Karanja Vriksa). Hence the Lord is called Karanja-Narasimha Swami.
This temple is situated at a distance of one kilometer from Upper Ahobilam.
6.BHARGAVA NARSIMHA
BHARGAVA NARSIMHA (VIDARANA FORM)
This temple is situated on a hill, near the sacred pond Bhargava Tirtha, where Parashurama (also known as Bhargava) performed His penance. Hence the Lord is known as Bhargava Narasimha Swami. In the past many great sages worshiped the Deity here
The temple of Bhargava Narasimha Swami is situated at a distance of two kilometers from Lower Ahobilam.
7.YOGANANDA NARSIMHA
YOGANANDA NARSIMHA WHO BLESSED LORD BRAHMA
Yogananda Narasimha Swami resides in Lower Ahobilam. The Lord here looks very magnificent and powerful. Of the nine Narasimhas in Ahobilam, Yogananda is said to be the most merciful.
This temple is situated to the south-east of Lower Ahobilam at a distance of 2½ kilometers.
8.CHATRAVATA NARSIMHA
CHATRAVATA NARSIMHA seated under banyan tree
The Deity here is installed under a banyan (vata) tree. Hence, the Lord is known as Chatravata Narasimha Swami. He was effulgent and has a big smile.
This temple is about three kilometers from Lower Ahobilam.
9.PHAVANA NARSIMHA
PAVANA NARSIMHA who blessed the sage bharadvaja
This temple lies on the bank of the river Pavana, hence the Lord is known as Pavana Narasimha Swami. Lord Narasimha and His consort look very beautiful.
The Pavana Narasimha Swami temple is at a distance of about six kilometers from the Upper Ahobilam temple.
