  • Let me tell you something very new. I am not sure whether you could understand it. But read it anyways. It might strike you :)

When you say "My Mind", it is clear that YOU are separate from your MIND. YOU are not your Mind. Mind is just a collection of temporary thoughts. A thought has movement(chanchal). It is the nature of thought to be like that. You don't find the peace because YOU are moving along with your MIND(wherever it takes you to). In short, you have become your mind(got merged into it). So, you take a step back and OBSERVE your MIND. Next time your Mind tries to drag you, you just take a step back and OBSERVE it. Do not move along with it. Just look at your mind how it dances and creates the drama. Previously, you were part of the drama(and hence you suffered) but now, you are just watching the drama(like in TV).Do not judge the drama. You just watch it. Observe it. By such constant observation, your mind gets scared, it will just get destroyed in due course. Remember this FACT and rest assured, peace and bliss(ananda) are bound to follow.

Remember...YOU are NOT your MIND :)

  • I had been in similar situation in past, despite having all the luxaries and intelligence that world around expect us to have, the peace of mind and real happiness are not so easy to achieve and also when you are more inclined to spiritualism and despite knowing so many things that you know, are true but you are not always able to adhere to them b'se of conflict with real world around us,it is even more distressful.

The only solution so far I have understood is to cultivate the strength of buddhi with faith and marching along with very patience, deepest faith and utmost faith on the lord krishna,as told by him in the bhagwad gita.No matter how much you are emotimally inclined to spiritualism and almighty, unless we try to control our wandering mind,it will never allow us to do all what we expect from us spiritually and wordly, acting like enemy.

Me too have been extremely inclined to maa kali during initial days of my what I call "the begining of my spiritual life" and from there as I slowly got deeper into the subject of god and the bhagwad geeta,I realised that the only way to being spiritual is to control your nerves and mind in the right direction and breaking the shakles of comfort zone and lazyness .

    Hare krishna!!
