Two months back, I have attended Maha-Abhishkha for Narasimha Bhagawan at Simhachalam in Germany. The Abhishka was ecstatic, divine.
But when I compared the Abhishekas with what I have seen since my childhood in the Hindu temples is little different.
Since childhood, I was always thinking for abhisheka one uses only warm water, cold water, perfume, different oils, sandle paste, Haldi, Kumkum and most important Panchamrita.
But I have never seen fruit juices, fruit pulps are used for the Abhisheka.
Can some body let me know the Vedic references which describes such procedure of Abhisheka. If you could send me PDF file of the quoted (referenced text that would be really great). my email id is milind.shende5@gmail.com
