lord ram's father why killed innocent animal

Dear Prabhus & Matas.,pamho.,request you pls give me below question answer..,

my many firends (non hindus)  ask me "why lord ram's father  killed innocent animal

and they thought that they killed for eat., then why the hindus always infist for non weg"

when the non hindus asked this question ,i dont have any answer....pls do the needful

    Hare Krishna Tushar Prabhu, please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

    In previous ages Kshatriyas in order to keep their fighting mood and form they used to practice hunting animals like deers. This is practiced as a religious rule given by the shastras, there was no sin. Even they might be sin but their aim of protecting the citizens would be an atonement. 

    But in Kali yuga there are only shudras or lowers so it is not recommended to do so.
