Hare Krishna! There are lot of evidences in SB which prove that Indra has seen Krishna several times. It seems that even if one sees Krishna lotus feet he forgets the world & is in ecstasy, etc etc. Then how does Indra continue to enjoy women wealth wine in the heavens? In fact before the govardhan incident insulted Krishna by using pretty offensive words. How is that Krishnas appearence has no effect on him?

it is because Lord Indra also a conditioned soul.
And conditioned souls have 4 defects:
To commit mistakes
Have unideal senses
To fall into illusion and
To cheat.
Even in our Guru Parampara Lord Brahma committed a mistake what to speak of others?
Even Lord Shiva was bewildered seeing Mohini Murti.
Even 4 Kumaras disobeyed their father...
In this way only by the mercy of Krishna one can become eligible to see Him. Only those souls who fully surrender to the will of Krishna can see Him. As like Prahlada Maharaja sees Lord every time and every where.

Even Duryodhana saw Krishna but remained as a demon. Even Ravana, Hiranyakashipu...saw Krishna but ...
In this way only seeing with material eyes is not the case. In order to see Krishna one has to have the eyes which are applied with the oil of love. One's heart should be pure from all anarthas.
And it is same with the Holy Names. In order to hear the real Holy Name one's heart should be pure. Or else we hear the Holy Names thousand times but still crawling in this world. :(
