kuruksetra place of worship

Hare Krishna,
Please accept my Humble Obeisances,
All Glories to Guru and Gourango!

It is mentioned in Bhagavad Gita that "Because the battle was arranged to be fought at Kurukshetra, which is mentioned elsewhere in the Vedas as a place of worship". It means Kurukshetra is worshippable place.

What is significance of Kurukshetra before the battle? Where in Vedas mentioned about the importance of Kurukshetra?
Please can anyone clarify on it.

Hare Krishna!

  • Lord Parshurama vanished the bad kshatriyas for 21 times. by the blood of that kshatriyas he made 5 small pond of blood..later for just to set an example towards society he did yajnyas with the help of great sages to get free from the karma of killing the kshatriyas..there demigods appeared in the yajnya and said those who will die at this place, will attain the heaven. That was the reason for the kauravas to attain the heaven even when they were adharmis.

sorry for the poor english. Hare Krsna !
