Using alcohol they make flavor. Which makes dis-tasty food very tasty with that artificial taste of those spices.
And it is just because women are busy out doing their carriers, husbands killing animals and destroying plan-table lands and building factories. Killing cows we earn bad karma and as a result Demigods do not supply enough rain, as a result not natural spices, grains,....food for eating :O

Destroying their health? I try never to eat food which does not have any benefit for my health. What is the use of eating or drinking something just for the sake of tasting?????

You have to consider the fact that there are many different types of alcohol, even in common household items.
What most people think of as alcohol (ie what is in beer, wine etc) is ethanol and that is in a lot of cleaners such as Lysol.
Isopropyl alcohol (also called rubbing alcohol) is a different molecule than ethanol, it is found in cleaning solutions for electronics.
Methanol is also common (sometimes called wood alcohol) is used in windshield washer fluid.
