Killing a man is not a sin at all...???

Hare Krsna!

It is written in the scripture that it is not a sin if you kill someone who sets your home fire or one who gives you the poison..

My question is ,

1. Is that applicable for human being or it is applicable for animal being too?

2. If a snake comes near me to bite me, is it a sin if I kill it ??

Hari Bol!

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

The answers, as per my understanding, are:

    1) Karma is attracted only in manusya yoni. In other words, if a lion kills, he does not attract any karma, but if a human being kills, he attracts karma. It is because of the desire of that soul to eat meat and for violence that it got the body of a lion, therefore, his activities in that yoni do not attract karma.

    2) Srila Prabhupada has said that a snake and a scorpion can be killed immediately. However, killing should be only in self defence.
