Karthik masa

Hare Krishna,

  I am pretty new to KC and I got to know that karthik masa begins from Oct 13th...If I am right, Diwali festival is celebrated at the starting of Karthik masa..right??

Can anyone please clear this??

Also, what should be performed  during this month(karthik) as this is favorite month for SriKrishna.

Any suggestions would be really helpful for me,

    Hare Krsna Mataji,

    PAMHO.

    Kartik month starts from 17th Oct, Monday, this year. 

    This is the concession month provided by God - whatever we do will have multifold results. You can take any resolution you want - maybe increase the number of rounds you are chanting, vow to light a lamp and sing Damodarashtakam twice a day the whole month, read from scriptures every single day of the month, eat only prasadam the whole month, visit a dham for 3 nights in the month.... invite all neighbours for deep daan - lamp offering with Damodar Ashtakam.... whatever suits you - yatha shakti. 

    It is very fulfilling and rewarding to do this.
