Karm ka sidhant

Hare Krishna! All glories to Guru and Gaurang!!!As per the 'karm ka sidhant' we are geting ( in present) the reults of our past deeds (either of this birth or any other birth) and will receive the results of our present deeds in future. But do we get the result according to our 'Intention' also....means a lie for good reason...or a good work with bad motive behind. Please correct me if i am wrong somewhere in concept.RegardsDeepa

  • Hare Krishna Deepa Mataji,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!!

Maral mataji has explained the concept very nicely with a very good example.

Here is my take on it:
The principles of dharma are very intricate. Understanding them and acting according to perfect principles is extremely difficult. There are loads of examples in our Puranas where people have borne the results of not understanding the principles of dharma properly.
So in this age of Kali Yuga and especially for people like us who are in Krishna Consciousness, anything we do which satisfies the senses of Lord Krishna and serves him is dharma and anything which is not doing that cannot be considered pious.
So lying is ok if that allows us or someone else to serve Krishna but not otherwise. We have to think if our lie will please Krishna or not. We should not think whether by lying we get good karma or bad karma. If we suffer because of our lie then that is fine because the ultimate purpose of serving Krishna is met.
If our intention is correct then Krishna will take care and we don’t even have to think about it. And if our intention is not good then there is no point.

Senior Devotees, please correct me if I am wrong.

    RadheKrishna!!
    Your Servant,
    Ram

Hare Krishna dear Deepa Ahuja Mataji, please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
One brahman took a wove of not speaking any lie.
once he was practicing his yoga suddenly cow came running, she was escaping from killers. she turned to the right road and left. Then the killer came running asked the brahman that where had the cow turned. Brahman as his given word could not say a lie and told showed the right road. He went caught the cow and killed her.
in the next life this brahman again took human body. one day he was traveling and Sun set down, was late. He became hungry and decided to stay in someone's house as a guest. One young couple wife and husband accepted him as a guest. fed him, gave place to rest. Then in the night that young lady came to him (brahman) told that she wants to sleep with him. Brahman shocked and told:" you have alive husband how can you say those things."
Then she went and came back with the head of her own husband. She killed her own husband cutting his head. then showed to him: see. now my husband is not alive.
Brahman was shocked and immediately left the house. then she cried to everyone that this brahman killed her husband that the government should to put him to the jail. They did so. He suffered but some how he died and asked the reason from Yamaraj.
"why, i was a pure Brahman who used to perform all rituals and yagyas, why is it so happened?"
Yamaraj told that when you said the truth to the killer of a cow the killer killed her and in the next life he became her husband, the cow took a body of a woman. She killed in answer, and because you was the reason for her death, now because of her you were put into jail and suffer.
    ---------------
So in this way we have to have intelligence to discriminate what is bad what is good, what is lie what is truth.
If he had lied to the killer showing wrong road, it would be the truth. For the sake of protection of a Mother he had to lie which is in the reality is truth.
    --------------
Words should not bring harm to someone. We have to learn even to say the bitter truth in a very good way, in order not to hurt the person.
    ----------------------
    good work with bad motive?
example may be: man can work hard and make billions of dollars just because he wants his children do not live a life lacking for something. But in the reality children who got easy money, they usually become drug users, demons...
as like Diti's mistake. Aditi had sons Demigods, but Diti had Demons. She asked her husband Kashyapa what was the reason. He told that you yourself made them demons. You never did not say to them "no". You always gave to them whatever they wanted and asked. But Aditi used to give whatever they need and could say "no" for those things (too much sense enjoyment objects) which will harm their future.
    Your servant,
