Hare krishna, all glories to srila prabhupada.It is said that when someone dies in our family or when a newborn baby is arrived in our family, we dont visit temple, we also dont lit diya before deity. I have heard that this system is written in our shastras. Well my father is an iskcon member and we visit temple and hear every sundays lecture. Lord krishna said in bhagwad gita "Sarva-dharman parityajya mam ekam saranam vraja, aham tvam sarva-papebhyo mokshayishyami ma sucah" so do we still need to follow this not visiting temple system after being surrendered to lord krishna???

It is enough to take full bath and come to the Temple even the next day. Krishna and His Holy Names are above all these material impurities. So need to worry much of it. Your Father is doing indeed correct Kishan Prabhuji.

Thats a good question, prabhuji. even I would like to know why we cant enter the temple when a baby is born or when someone in the family dies?
