That is the rule of the local priests in Puri mataji. Thats why philosophy is so important alongwith devotional service. Otherwise we will not realise where we are making mistakes at all.
God is one and He is for everyone. If all people of the world understood this much, all fightings related to religion will end.

Jagannath, Baldev, Subhadra are the forms of deities in Puri in India. This is a very confidential form, there was only one temple in Puri that had this form. Later more temples came up. In fact, in Puri, even now, non-hindus and non-Indians are not allowed inside the temple. That is why I am calling this form of the deity confidential and rare.
It is the mercy of Srila Prabhupada that he has got these deities in each and every ISKCON temple.
I have heard that Jagannath form is very merciful and easily pleased mataji. He needs to be fed every 2 hours, therefore maintaining these deities at home is not possible for everyone.
