Why ISKCON spiritual leaders dont come into politics and help fallen souls on the whole.

Todays politicians are making hell out of peoples life and common people are struggling

so much to survive and there is no interest left to do bhakti.Ofcourse, to sustain and come

up in todays politics you need criminal background, corrupt mentality and more over brave heart

to face anyone. But inspite of all, if some ISKCON leader wants to serve the Lord on big scale,

politics is the way. If they are really concerned about the people then they should take the risk and

enter politics, in this way we can restrict intoxication, protect cows, encourage devotional activities, introdue vedic education in school curriculum, build eco-villages,make people god consious.It is definetly the most hard way of preaching. We devotees always support them. thank you.

SB 10.10.17 — Saintly persons may freely associate with those who are poverty-stricken, but not with those who are rich. A poverty-stricken man, by association with saintly persons, very soon becomes uninterested in material desires, and the dirty things within the core of his heart are cleansed away.

SB 10.10.18 — Saintly persons [sādhus] think of Kṛṣṇa twenty-four hours a day. They have no other interest. Why should people neglect the association of such exalted spiritual personalities and try to associate with materialists, taking shelter of nondevotees, most of whom are proud and rich?
