Never heard of Isvara Gita.
I dont understand why you are doing google or running to Wikipedia to find out who is God? If they knew, they wouldnt be doing what they are doing na. The importance of authority in our lives you have to understand. Whatever is put in google or wikipedia is what it will throw up in any search. Its literally GIGO.
To understand who is God, we go to authorities. Who are the authorities - seers or sages who have done enough sadhana over the years and arrived at the truth. This is the truth they are giving us and this is the truth we accept. Suppose you want to buy gold, or someone is selling a gold bangle to you, would you not take it to a goldsmith or one of the jewellery shops to get it valued and only then buy it? Would you go to a surgeon for valuation of the gold? No na. Same way, go to the right authority for the right thing.
Authorities are Arjuna, Narada, Asita, Devala, Vyas, Sankaracharya, Srila Prabhupada.
Just to clarify, Shiva is a form of the lord. The form in which the lord does destruction, the form in which the lord manages tamoguna, the form who directs to the lord any sincere seeker.
