I have invited some friends who are health conscious to one of our temple. They loved everything, even the taste of Food, but were surprised that we used non organic milk loaded with pesticides, harmones and antibiotics

I would like to highlight here the deferents between "Organic and Non-Organic Milk" as some of may not be aware of,
What Is Organic Milk?
Many people wonder about the differences between raw organic milk and traditional milk, since organic milk has a longer shelf life than pasteurized milk. Aside from the longer shelf life, there are numerous other benefits to organic milk, such as a higher vitamin count and a lower level of toxins within the milk.
The Major Difference Between Organic and Non-Organic Milk
Milk is one of the healthiest foods for the body because of the large amount of vitamins and nutrients contained within it. Protein, Calcium, and Vitamin D are all essential to human growth and development, but one of the unfortunate downsides of drinking pasteurized milk is that it contains at least two pesticides that are ingested by the cow when it eats. Sometimes milk even includes growth hormones that are used to accelerate the growth of the cows. This can have adverse effects in humans as well.
Raw organic milk does not have these contaminants, making it a safer product for you and your family. Organic milk only contains exactly what the animal produces and since the animals are never exposed to harmful chemicals such as hormones or pesticides, none of these substances are found in their milk. Medical treatment of dairy cows that produce organic milk is carefully documented from the time of their birth all the way through their milk producing years to ensure their treatment is organically certified as well.
Nutritional Value of Organic Milk
Usually, organic food is on par with non-organic food when it comes to nutritional content. However, due to the pasteurization process, organic milk contains more vitamins and nutrients since they are not burned off. A recent USDA study also determined that traditionally produced milk usually has some form of pesticide residue in all milk tested. Organic milk contains a higher vitamin and protein count because the pasteurization process used on it is not as harsh as that on traditional milk, since there are no pesticides and hormones to attempt to remove.
Raw Organic Milk Shelf Life
Because raw organic milk is not pasteurized, it has a considerably shorter shelf life than pasteurized organic or non-organic milk. However, organic milk can be ultra pasteurized, which subjects the milk to heat for a shorter period of time at a higher temperature, resulting in all of the bacteria being burned while still offering a good shelf life. Milk that is ultra-pasteurized has an even longer shelf life than regular pasteurized milk.

HareKrishna,
Please look at this Online book "GO_SUSHM" , a book on cow protection and full of information regarding its productive nature...
