Stop thinking of investing as gambling. Investing is both a science and an art. A lot of research goes into the decision making process. There are lengthy reports of analysis like history of the company, products, usp, corporate governance, brand image, competition, financials, profitability, forecasting etc etc. Whereas gambling requires no brains. The vaishnav in your example perhaps lacked the necessary skills and guidance required for investing. I'm no expert but do read "The intelligent investor" by Benjamin Graham to know more about investing.

Falling-down, from grace? I was considering this Migration therum recently! Seem everyone is doing so. Considering all aspects of Life karma strenth & good intelagence & justice all have such good origins and are so carefully and are so ernestly protected. Why are so many of us working so heard to be this or that, when it's all So-gifted?
