Lord Rama was exiled for 14 yrs. He spent 14 yrs of His life in the jungles. When He came back to Ayodhya after defeating the Demon Ravana, He got HIs kingdom back. He was crowned as King. He got all riches.
Tell me one thing.. did Rama ever feel sad when he was banished from the Kingdom?
Did Rama feel Elated when he was crowned and declared the king?
In both the circumstances Lord Rama was always having one beautiful smile on his face.
He was neither too happy nor sad. He was contended ( when riches were lost or when riches were gained).
THAT NATURE Is described in BHagwad gita as- "
Sthita Pragnya" It means one who is stable in all circumstances.

That everything will perish one day. But that doesn't mean I must sit idle and not do anything .. isn't it???
In your opinion playing for money is gambling.
in my opinion it is just a game a quiz game a show.
TV tactics to be in the business.
winner gets money
loser gets to be on TV.
There is nothing to lose nothing to gain in this.
Even if I lose also... I will see like this.... I never had anything to start with... I came empty handed to the show .. and left empty handed.
"Now, also I go to play almost everyday"
Only such people can play it as a play who just play for enjoying the play.
If my son gets into a competition at school ( or KBC) where his skills are tests and cash price involved. I would send him for sure. But if he fails.
I would say its okay but you tried.
Failures make us learn many things in life.

I think just participating in KBC is not a gambling.
Its a QUIZ game and awards are given.
If you are lucky then you must consider it Krishna's grace.
Any work you do. be it prescribed duty or anything... just no need to think of the results
and simply play the game as a game. If you get something out of it.. its is Krishna's grace.

Participating in a quiz program is not gambling according to me. It is a MCQ driven quiz. Naturally, even when appearing for an exam, we try to guess the answer when we dont know. THat is not gambling, then KBC is also not gambling.
What is important is where we are intending to use the money earned from KBC and how disappointed we are when we end up losing money already earned, but did not quit the game on time. Our consciousness is important. Play the game with detachment and use the laxmi earned for devotional purpose (atleast some part of it).

The idea is to add Krsna to our life, and not vice versa.
Nobody is in the stage of pure unalloyed devotion. We are all on the pat. So if someone wants to participate in KBC, what is wrong? Let that devotee announce that I will donate a percentage of this to ISKCON or to goseva program of ISKCON or any other program of his choice. Best platform for free advertisement. Play and see how far he goes. If he does win and donates, what is the harm.
This is not at all to say that ISKCON should consider this as an option for fund raising. It is simply to say that doevtail all your desires towards Krsna. If you desire to play KBC, by all means play. Use your intelligence to put Krsna in the centre/ dovetail this desire in the service of Krsna.

This is not the correct application. Whose prescribed duty it is to play KBC?
By playing one game of KBC, how a person deviates from his prescribed duty? He continues to earn his regular income whichever way he was doing earlier, right?
Why there is confusion in your mind?
That does not make it gambling.
For argument's sake, it is Amitabh Bachchan's prescribed duty. The entire team which has created this game, it is their prescribed duty.
For others, it is recreation. As much as watching cricket or any game is.
