Please accept my humble obeisance. All glories to Srila Prabhupada,
Is Maya also a part of Shri Krsna?
If Everything is part & parcel of Krsna (i.e, remebrance, forgetfullness...), then Maya is also a part & parcel of Krsna. If so, then how Maya can engulf us so much like this. Why it prevents us from being Krsna Conscious?

Krishna's energy MAyA comes also from Krishna. Its a tool/means used by Krishna to sustain the universe. While Krishna's Yoga MAyA sustains the spiritual world, His mahA mAyA (in the form of shrI durga dEvI) supports Lord Siva in controlling the material universe. Through mahA mAyA, the living beings get attached to materiality (disassociated from krishnA) and remain in the material world and its cycles of birth and death. As one's devotion to krishnA increases, Lord siVA (being the foremost loving devotee of krishnA) withdraws the mahA mAyA revealing krishnA residing inside the living being's heart to rise up like the sun and remove the darkness of nescience.
It's our karma that makes us forget krishnA, the karma we attained by our free will disengaged from KC.

Yes its true Maya is also one of the three energies of Krishna ,it is inferior energy the spiritual world is the superior energy and the living beings (Souls) constitute the marginal energy.
Unless we completely surrender ourselves to krishna and involve ourselves in krishnas service at all time we can fall under the spell of maya , even though you are practicing devotional service you have to develop godly Qualities like of demigods, love and concern towards the people in general since they are in ignorance .Envy, Anger Lust ,Ego are some of the things we have to leave behind to come out of Maya.
