  • Hare Krishna, Prabhu!

Bhagvad Gita is a part of Mahabharat of Bhishma-Khand, where the battle starts. If you have the Bhagvad-Gita, you must be knowing the incidents of it. It's from Mahabhrata but due it's importance, people read it differently.

Whereas, The Srimad Bhagvatam or Bhagvat Purana is a different book. It's much beautiful than Bhagvad Gita because it has all the chosen transcendental stories of great Devotees and of course, the Past times of Parthasarathi Sri Krishna(10 and 11 canto). It has been divided into 12 volumes, whereas Mahabharata is of 18 volumes.

So, Bhagvad Gita is not part of Bhagvatam, rather of Mahabharata. Bhagvatam is different and so is called Srimat(beautiful).

    Hope I helped you,
    Hare Krishna...
