i was told that iskcon is following teaching of some sampradaaya. i forgot name. a sampradaaya is just like a small field in which some people try to add new people. is krishna consciousness really a practical and scientific universal remedy to all miseries ??

Try to do something for Krsna and see for yourself how much happiness it gives you and that it is more lasting than trying to make yourself happy.
Our efforts to make Him happy pleases Him and He removes the dust of material contamination from our soul, taking out our true nature of sat, cit anand, making us happy.
The Sampradaya is 'Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya', pls correct me if i am wrong by HDG Srila Prabhupada's disciples..
Krsna Consciousness is selfless, thats why its lamp in the myriad of selfishness.
Have you heard of the 4 vedas - rig, sama, yajur and atharva?
Some explain the purpose of vedas in our life like this - have you ever seen an instrument without a purpose? Anything made by man which has no purpose? Most of the items made, esp electronics will come with a manual on how to operate it, how to maintain it and how to repair it.
Now think is there a purpose to human life? Why God created humans? Is it without any purpose? Simply eat, sleep, further your own interest by spoiling the beautiful nature created by Me, blame Me for whatever is going wrong according to you, but never praise or thank Me for whatever I have given you.....do you think this is the way to lead life? Sincere seekers have reached the conclusion that there is a purpose to life. That manual on how to lead a human life is vedas. It gives in details how to lead life. It is so vast because, again, it caters to needs of souls in different levels of consciousness. The entire purpose of the manual is to make the soul gradually elevate till it reaches the level of Krsna Consciousness. THis is the vedas.
You have answered your own question in another post - why the world is full of miseries. Like you rightly said, there is all round selfishness prevailing in the world today. But still nobody is happy. That is the cause of all miseries - the selfishness, me first attitude.
it is universal movement because vedas are meant for all, not only for so called "hindus".
Why is hindu communal prabhuji?
Secondly, Hindu is not a word in our scriptures at all. We are followers of vedas, we are followers of sanatan dharma. Both are universal. To explain to you a little further - what is sanatan dharma? What is the characteristic of fire - light and heat, right? Water - wetness, right? Same way, the intrinsic dharma of human beings is to serve. We are constantly serving someone or the other, family, children, boss, guide, teacher....if no one else, pets. Despite serving so many people all our lives, we always feel a vacuum inside us or feel dissatisfied. So why not serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead. That will give us full satisfaction. The way we feel nourished by eating, food goes to stomach, entire body gets nourished. Same way, when we serve the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we feel eternal bliss.
Think about it like this, if this was not universal, would it appeal to westerners who have never heard the name Krsna. Would they adopt Indian culture and (regressive) ways of living so willingly. Have you seen pictures of the western ladies in sarees, covering their heads, hiding behind doors to hear Srila Prabhupada? What makes them do that willingly?

This is definitely something very spiritual in nature. Wearing a saree is a divine tradition that has existed in India for centuries now and something that is considered very sacred. Maybe there is a force greater than us that moved them and convinced them to follow our ways and wear a saree daily.
How many names you have prabhuji? Kishan, Mr. Kishan, maybe a nickname, maybe a special name that close family calls you by, maybe a name that only your mother calls you by...If you can have so many names, why not God? So many devotees, so many bhaavs, so many names.
Regarding forms, again, God likes variety. He is so bhakta vatsal that He takes a form to please His devotees. Thats why so many forms.
Haribol.
Hare Krsna Prabhuji,
PAMHO.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. If Krsna COnsciousness was not the answer to the miseries of the world, why Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu said - prithivi te ache joto nagar adi gram, sarvatra prachar hoibe mor naam - My name will be spread to each town and village in the world.
The name of the sampradaya is Gaudiya Vaishnav Sampradaya. What does it mean - we are followers of a sampradaya which goes back right upto Brahma. Just to explain a little further - there are 4 authorised sampradayas - meaning path to reach God, as authorised by God Himself. Brahma, Lakshmi (Sri Sampradaya), 4 Kumaras (Nimbarka sampradaya) and Shiva (Rudra Sampradaya). We are following Brahma, Narada, Madvacharya in our lineage.
Sampradaya has nothing to limit, it only proves the bonafides of the path undertaken to reach God.
Haribol,
Your servant,
Radha Rasamayi DD
