Mahaprabhu says to respect the one who does not deserve any respects in order to chant the holy names constantly. Revenge is out of syllabus question for a devotee. I was hearing in one of the lectures that Krishna will not take offenses to himself seriously but if we commit an offense to his devotee, then he will be serious. We do not know whom we are dealing with what his/her past is. What if he/she becomes a great devotee later and our offense is considered by Krishna then at that point of time? we will be in trouble. Like I was hearing one lecture by HH Radhanath Swami Maharaj where in Maharaj was explaining about one person in New York. This guy was like a gunda and always used to harass devotees. He would beat them up every time they would go on harinaam sankirtan. He would take all the prasadam from them and beat them and drive them away. The devotees would not tel any thing and would go back. After doing this for some time, he himself felt bad of his act and gradually stopped beating them. Then after some time... he would beat those who would cause obstacles to other devotees in harinaam sankirtan. And finally he joined temple as full time brahamachari and latter on became a sanyasi also.

    Hare Krsna

    Pamho

I will tell you the ideal standard. Once I asked the same question from a very senior devotee. I asked him why should I not punish the person who has created so many problems for my in my life and he was always wrong while doing it. He said that Krsna has forgiven us for all our offenses and we should follow in Krsna's footsteps cuz if Krsna starts taking all our offenses then what hope we have?

Also I heard in a lecture by a sannyasi that if we wish to be forgiven then we must forgive others. He also said that the power of forgiveness is greater than the combined power of all the nuclear bombs present on the earth cuz it can help one go back home back to godhead. Of course, it is not always easy to forgive. I myself have undergone such hardships due to some people and wish to punish them nicely so that they learn a lesson and don't do the same thing to anyone again. I also wish to punish every wrong doer on earth as a service to Krsna but more than that I have to see my own spiritual health and after that if I have time, I can do other services. Please understand, I know the pain one feels when some one intentionally makes us suffer using his/her power/ position and everything in his/her control.I have seen and experienced but rest assured if you are sincere Krsna will take it as His duty to do justice. If you don't take revenge but just don't forgive that person, trust me, Krsna will not forgive him/her either.I am sure you know what happened to Hiranyakasipu. I am not comparing anyone with Hiranyakasipu but just saying that that pastime is a testimony to the fact that Krsna does not tolerate offenses to His devotees and to what extent He can go. Lord Chaitanya has said He will take us back home , back to Godhead if we chant sincerely and don't commit offenses. He also said that even if a sannyasi commits an offense, it will not be forgiven. So please remember Vaishnavas are always protected- Krsna will never leave them. He gives real protection- He won't let us forget Him if we are sincere and have this desire. He says" My devotee never vanquishes"" O Arjuna, u declare, My devotee never vanquishes". So rest assured Krsna is with all of us. He loves us too much , just too much..

Please forgive me if my words hurt or offended in any way. I dn't mean to offend in any way.
