Is it best to hear Srila Prabhupada's dictation of "Kṛṣṇa, The Supreme Personality of Godhead" (from The Complete Audio Archives) or to read the book itself?

Prahlad Maharaj has said in the Shrimad Bhagwatam Canto 7.5.23-24 that :
"1. Hearing (Shravanam) and
2. chanting (also includes reading)(Kirtanam) about the transcendental holy name, form, qualities, paraphernalia and pastimes of Lord Vishnu
3. remembering them (Smaranam),
4. serving the lotus feet of the Lord (Pada Sevanam),
5. offering the Lord respectful worship with sixteen types of paraphernalia (Archanam),
6. offering prayers to the Lord (Vandanam),
7. becoming His servant (Dasya),
8. considering the Lord one's best friend (Sakhya), and
9. surrendering everything unto Him (in other words, serving Him with the body, mind and words) (Atma nivedanam);
these nine processes are accepted as pure devotional service. One who has dedicated his life to the service of Krishna through these nine methods should be understood to be the most learned person, for he has acquired complete knowledge."
One can offer devotional service to Lord in any one of the nine ways in which he or she likes.
prabhupad would say something like this -that we should read bhagavatam in the morning ,bhagvad gita in the evening & krsna book at night .
although reading & hearing has same result , the hearing is more interesting .we may not be able to read for long time but we can hear the pastimes for more time .
also you will find extra information when hearing .i have read krsna book & it is very sweet .but when u hear from devotees ,u can understand the pastimes in depth . just as the fruit is sweet but it becomes more sweeter when touched by parrot's beak similarly krsna pastimes are more sweeter when heard from devotees.

hare krishna pr
pr hearing will be better then reading as our acharayas say that 6 anartha will only go through hearing process.
as srila prabhupad transcendental voice will go into your ears you will be purified for sure.
i prefer to do both;
When i read personally i read as much loudly so that i can hear myself.
Even if i hear book as an audio i will find out and read it myself;
Cannot imagine life without reading;
Your servant,
