Devata (demigod), gandharvas and kinnaras are all counted among the 4 lakhs human species.
THe fact that devatas are part of the 84 lakhs species of life forms is one of the most direct evidences of the fallible or non permanent nature of devatas. Demigod is not God. Often, we find it hard to give up worshipping any demigod we have been worshipping over the years and concentrate only on worshipping Krsna. Only when we study the scriptures and understand these things, we develop more faith and have more surrender only and only to the Supreme Persnality of Godhead - Krsna.
