"Initiated by Gaura Mantra" vs "Initiated by Krsna Mantra"

Hare Krishna ,

please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!


Some people say they are initiated by Gaura Mantra, NOT Krsna Mantra and some people say that they are initiated by Krsna Mantra,  NOT Gaura Mantra - Which looks really ODD to me.

Is there any specific reason to this?

Does any kind of such concept really exist in reality?

Please someone highlight why people have such conception.

    I do not know about sayings Prabhu, 

    but we say that we have to be initiated by Hare Krishna Maha Mantra.
