Hare Krishna!
Dear matajis and Prabhujis,If one can't complete his quota of chanting in a day(of course unwillingly),what should he do? Should he complete his quota on the next day by chanting extra rounds?
Suppose, someone who chants 16 rounds per day, one day he fell ill seriously and chanted only 10 rounds.Should he chant 16+6 rounds on the next day? and what about a long illness?
Please forgive me for my ignorance and explain the answer. Please state what Shrila Prabhupada and other Acharayas say about this matter.

To avoid all this trouble, wake up brahma-muhurta hour and complete the 16 rounds.
please do not eat and do not sleep but try to complete Your rounds Prabhuji on that day only.
if still we are not able to complete then we should chant those rounds in the next day and start 16 rounds more for a new day. Which means if left 5 rounds. The next day one should chant those 5 then again 16.
