Hare Krishna to all devotees. Dandavat Pranam.
Recently I saw a video of Sankaracharya Swami Nischalanand Saraswati where he said that Kalisantaranaupnishad has given mantra "hare rama hare rama rama rama hare hare, hare krishna hare krishna krishna krishna" but Chaitanya Mahaprabhu changed the order of mantra and places krishna before ram.
Please explain..

In Kali Santaranopanishad, this mentioned. Yes it is right that Sri Chaitnaya Mahaprabhu who is Sri Krishna Himself has reversed the order to benefit whole mankind.
As To even Utter the name of Lord Rama you need to be pure internally and externally. One cannot take Lord Rama's name simply anywhere at anytime, Unlike Lord Sri Krishna.
Lord Sri Krishna is very dear to all souls He is more friendly and apporachable. You can notice how HE plays with all the gopa balaks even licking from their hands. When it comes to Lord Krishna, He is beloning to Dwapar yuga and closer to Kaliyuga. That time almost the caste system came to an end. In Kaliyuga you can see now a days there is no caste no varna ashrama left. But Lord Rama time He belongs to Treta Yuga when the dharma was more prevalent and varana ashrama was practiced. There is austerity in speech and Austerity follwed by Veda pandits. Now a days almost nothing is left. As the days progress more into Kaliyuga we will find there would totally become lost. No one will be even practicing basic cleanliness also or do gayatri upasana or take 3 times bath and do sandhya would be left. That time no one can chant Lord Rama's name also. Because Lord Rama needs austerity in speech, austerity in ways of living and austerity and cleanliness in everything. One cannot chant simply sitting here and there at any time Lord Rama's name. If you want to Chant Lord Rama's name also you need to purity. Now a days who is following strictly some people who are living cold weathers they don't even take bath. s
Some people are getting up during Brahammuhurta and not even taking a bath and simply start to chant just brushing the teeth. some people doing at odd hours also chanting. ANd it is acceptable WHY?? because in KALIYUGA SUCHI cleanliness is NOT given IMPORTANCE. TAKING LORD's Name in WHATEVER CONDITION you are be it even on death bed or BE IN RESTROOM ALSO you can take Lord's Name.. EVEN a Non Hindu or Malechha or low caste people also have the oppurtunity to save themseleves by taking the Lord's name.
Lord Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu forseen this future and understood Oh.. this is Mahamantra it has to reach to all and everybody.. even the labor and rich class poor or sick or low caste chandala also should be given the oppurinity and equality to take the name of Lord freely. so He is so merciful to us to provide this Mahamantra in a reverse order so that Lord Krishna name comes first and even before Lord's Krishna's name Parama Kripa mayi Srimathi Radharani's name which is represented by the word " HARE" should come first. so that First One must take Shrimati Radharani's mercy to proceed to Krishna's name and after getting cleanesed by taking the names of Radha and Krishna than you are purified internally and externally to be able to even chant Lord Rama's name. So, only Chaitanaya Mahaprabhu changed this order so that all ( even muslims, hindus, low caste people ) are all Unified. Unity in diveristy all come under the shelter of One name. Now this is simply the mercy of Lord Chaitanaya and He is none other than Sri Krishna Himself so why even have doubts on this???
