Dear Krishna Rupa Devi Dasi Mataji, I disagree with some of your views.
Mataji, perhaps it is not vegetarian if you put it under a microscope. When put under a microscope you also can see dollar bills covered with bits of human fecal matter. I am sure ruppees or any other currency will be no different. Then, should the temples stop accepting currency?
It is not true that non vegetarians do not eat intestines. One of the most popular western food Jello, is made with powdered intestines with artificial color, a cancer causing agent. Sausages are intestines of pigs filled with their meat. Capsules of medicine, even in India are made with the same powdered intestines (gelatin).
Lets look at the positive side of producing Varakh this way:
There are benefits to offering of such Varakh produced using intestines of cows and oxes(to the spirit soul that resided in the body of the cow/ox)
When it is offered to Krishna, on sweets etc, along with a Tulasi leaf, Lord will accept it.
As a result the cow/ox from whom the guts derived from will benefit from such offering.
Upon spirit soul leaving the cow body, the cowhide is also used in producing Mridhang/Khol drums.
It is perfectly fine to do so, because this particular drum is used only in the service of Krishna.
When cow hide used in Krishna's service, it helps the cow progress spiritually.
I dont see anything wrong or against scriptures, in using cowhide as long as the product is offered to Krishna or used in His service.
No offense meant to any devotees who love cows, which we all know are very dear to Krishna.
In fact cow dung and cow urine are used in the worship of Krishna and are purifying (unlike dung of other animals). So any cowdung particles on Varakh can only be purifying.
One of the best Ayurvedic medicine is made from Go Mutr or cow urine.

The foil that you are talking about ,is it made only in India or all over the world? I mean does they make foil like the Varakh only in India or does all the countries who produces foil make it the same way how they are doing it in India?
