  • Hare Krishna,

When one is surrendered completely to Lord. Will lose touch base with the people around or things and places. He become maddened in ecstacy. He looks for nothing else. He has lost all thinking, memory because.... when we surrender completely our mind ( which is pivot of all senses ) to Sri Krishna. We will lose our mind isn't it? then where is the question of reward seeking.  The person who is mentally perfect and partially surrendered will weigh outcome of the bhakti think carefully and estimate what type result /reward he he is going to get by doing this type of pooja or bhakti ritual.

Until you seek some reward in return for your bhakti you do or appreciation from someone it is just ritualistic / sadhana bhakti stage only.

There are many stages in bhakti.

Thanks for your response. Somehow or the other if a person surrenders utterly unto Lord Sri Krsna then his body, mind and soul are spiritualized. The body, mind and soul take up their original function. This means that the body and senses cease to be material and so does the mind. Any reward or appreciation that we conceive of is of the material mind and is therefore material. The story of Dhruva Maharaja is very instructive in this regard who surrendered completely to the Lord but was very ambitious in the beginning.
