all those who have joined this website: we know that we are the soul and not the body.....But how to bring this truth into realization? can simply remembering this everyday is enough?
Any practical tips on this?

To answer your first question,
First hand experience is needed to realize this truth. Its not enough simply to think about it conceptually, we need to feel it from our hearts. The pure state of being and awareness of god is ineffable. Words and thoughts will never be able to describe it in its totality, rather they tend to lead to one extreme or the other and around in circles, Where Krishna/God is beyond all conceptual thought/language. I find the best way to feel it, is to realize our subtle awareness in all our actions, beneath all our thoughts. We already have the pure state. It is like the sun shining in the sky and is sometimes covered by clouds of ego-thought. It is a lot easier to feel when the mind/ego is silent...But just take it easy and be awake :).. That's just this awareness' experience.
And for love...well..I've been really lucky to find a beautiful soul to share this existence with. Ever since I was young I was looking for that true love and finally after much dissapointment I decided to stop looking for it and give up. That's when it appeared! And I wasn't looking for a relationship with the person when we met. Rather, when we met, I just found him to be incredibly interesting and thought he had the sweetest eyes in the world, like the eyes of a true friend. I also felt really at home with him. But it was definitely a surprise that our friendship turned into a deep love. and when our relationship advanced to physical contact, it felt like the world would melt away. <3
The love relationship truly forced me to grow. The relationship became a mirror that showed me all of my ego-issues that needed to be resolved. If I didn't resolve them, both my love and I would have been very unhappy. But during that period, I wasn't sure of the true-ness of my love. I questioned both myself and my lover (not only in the context of love but in life and existence itself!)..it was a very tumultuous time. However, my lover stayed by my side despite my doubts. And after I resolved the turmoil within myself, our love blossomed and is continuing to flower! And im learning new things every day. My love was like a spiritual catalyst! We both experienced tremendous spiritual growth after meeting one another. The love we are blessed to experience runs deeper than the material existence (although we enjoy both :)
Another interesting quality of a deeper love is the fact that it is unselfish. I'll admit, there have been times where I have sought out love and affection more for my own pleasure than to give love to another person. But in this relationship, I just want to give myself and make my partner happy, whether or not I receive love in return.
So..I'm definitely no expert, but maybe just work on yourself. (In your solitude, connect to Krishna and his sweet love, allow it to fill your heart and that will help with loneliness). Be like a flower in Krishna's garden and nurture yourself and expand into the most beautiful state you can and love will come :) And then when it comes, work on yourself even more! And as far as time, I'd say don't hold yourself to some fixed idea of how long, just allow the universe to work its magic. Maybe we don't ever know for sure, there could be many loves out there.. But a person may come along and you'll chose whether or not you want to stay or keep searching. Perhaps you'll just have to trust your heart.

we should understand one thing very clearly that realization does not happen over blink of an eye. it needs practice may be for a life time. once a devotee was cleaning in one of the preaching centers near our college and he was standing on a ceramic washbasin. suddenly it broke and he fell down on the ground and his leg was very badly hurt. he was bleeding very badly. I was very new in KC and was watching what was happening. i think he lost at least 100-150 ml of blood. so you can imagine the gravity of the incident. but to my great shock, that devotee was smiling all throughout. we rushed him to a hospital nearby for dressing. next day he had a high fever and still he was there for his Japa at 4:30 AM sharp before the Alter opened. i got another shock of life. i latter talked to him and he was saying that Lord puts us in different tests throughout our life and the final test is at our death bed. no matter what condition you are always try to remember him.In essence that day I realized that he has transcended beyond the bodily concept of life.
having said that we should understand that we should not try to imitate others. He was a very senior devotee and could do that. at our level, we can try to just chant our 16 rounds of hare Krishna Maha manthra daily as attentively as possible, follow the 4 regulative principles and engage in what ever devotional service of Lord that is possible. always try to associate with devotees in temple and discuss more Krishna katha.
