We are not supposed to use yeast. Some devotees suggested to replace it with curd. If so i wasn't told exactly how to replace yeast using curd and in what measurements. I was looking forward to making bread doughs. It would be nice to know other sugestions.Hari Bol.

When Matajis here in Radha Gopinath Mandir cook they use eatable soda.
But not yeast.
When they make dosas, idlis....they use soda.
Or they grind dhals and keep that outside of the fridge for whole night. In this way fermentation happens.
In my place we used to keep curd outside of the fridge for whole night and next day it used to become sour.
