How to properly sing govindam adi purusham

Hare Krishna to all the devotees

All glories to srila Prabhupada

I wanted to ask can we sing govindam adi purusham during worship In our home in the evening or it has to be sung during a specific time?

Also should we start it from the shloka from ishvaro param Krishna, OR we can start with just govindam adi purusham

I heared it on YouTube lead by HG Yamuna mataji, she and others and also srila Prabhupada directly start from govindam adi purusham but It start from the "ishvaro param Krishna". So what is the correct way of doing it?

Also, should we sing it only when we are doing pooja or we can sing it anytime

      • Hare Krishna Akshit Prabhu ji,

Singing any bhakti song at time is fine. Usually either morning or evening times

The song sung by Yamuna devi mata ji is having only few selected stanzas in the entire song.

Entire one is the one which I posted it is having all stanzas.

If you really want to learn slokas in song format.. you can try to sing make a song form and sing in entirety also.

To make it rhythmic and pleasing to ears they make use of few stanzas and make it as a song

However,i f you want to learn it then here is the full version

you can try making a song out of it and extend it with the same flow and include all the stanzas also.

In BHAKTI esp. In Bhakti.. there are no rituals.. Our Kanha ji is not very rigid.

Bhakti mein prem ho bas.  Bhakti totli basha mein bhi kijiye bhagwan ko goonge ki bol bhi samaj aajaayegi... lekin bina prem ki sirf  raate hue words ki koi value nahi dete kanha.

We can try making the extended version of the song including all the stanzas and sing with love to Krishna at any time ( morning or evening).
