Arrogance occurring in a devotee because of faith in Krsna

For example: If I was driving on the road, speeding say 50 mph over the speed limit, obviously making me a dangerous driver. Instead of slowing down like I should, I instead out of nowhere think that Krsna will save me from an accident.

:: I'm being arrogant enough to think that Krsna will save me, which makes me reckless, and at the same time being a devotee, it makes me realize that Krsna is listening within the heart and to cure that arrogance He will surely do something to teach me a lesson, which won't be a mild experience.

As the saying goes: Prevention is better than cure :)

Although strictly opposite (material v spiritual), this sort of reminds me of the pastime where Krsna disappears from the Gopis.

Any tips on preventing such thinking to even occur? :)

    very true Mihir Prabhu.

In somewhere Srila Prabhupada told that because of these fast cars nowadays so many accidents are there. But in previous times cars were alive animals and speed was not so much so people wouldn't die prior to time.

So this artificial development is very dangerous.

Also all Guru Maharajas request Devotees not to drive fast. And chant while driving.

It says that to kill a brahmana is a great sin. And also it says that brahmana should not travel alone.

Which means if he does not obey to that rule and travels alone and while doing so some murders kill him it means the brahmana himself is a killer of brahmana. Why? Because he - the soul was in brahmana body and by disobeying the etiquette he traveled alone and was killed.

So our body is not ours. It is Krishna's. And we have to do our best to protect it.

    Your servant,
