How to Detach yourself from the attachments...

I am confused about how we can make a person detach from attachments of another person .For Example a person is there who loves(mundane) you(devotee) because you have helped him when he was in frustration and that person has taken ur compassionate nature as love... and he/she is crazy for u to such an extent that if u go far from that person she will go mad and if u associate with other person he/she can harm other person or u also or  harm oneself???How can we make that person understand??

Plz i need a answer..

    Hare Krishna Ankit Bana Prabhu, please accept my humble obeisances! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

    Because of that in ISKCON we try to act according to Vaishnava etiquette where association of male and females are minimized to some extent. But if we do not obey to such like rules at the end we will suffer or will suffer other people as like this.

    If one is a brahmachari in saffron should not even look to the face of unmarried girl if there is no need for it, except time when it is needed in the service of Krishna. Or else it will create attraction towards him in the heart of a girl. And both will suffer.

    What to speak of helping. Helping is very important it is good, but again using Vaishnava etiquette.  

    Now only way is to surrender to Krishna and request Him to help You. Request Him to help that mataji. He is in the heart of everyone. As like Haridas Thakur prayed for a prostitute.

    He told that he stayed in that place for three days only for the purification of that girl. And it was true. Girl's heart was washed from all material desires and she became a saint.

    But Haridas Thakur did not speak with her much, did not do anything but just prayed to Krishna and depended on Him.

      Thank u mata ji for ur answer.Actually it was not my problem it was someone else who as facing this problem.I gave the solution to surrender unto krishna and give prabhupada boks to dat person. I posted this question to find out whether i gave the right soln or not...
