How to believe in Vedic Scriptures

Hare Krishna

How to make one believe in Scriptures like Vedas and Upanishads? One may argue that these texts are so old that he doesn't believe that story mentioned therein has actually happened. And it can be merely a speculation of someone's brain.
And as the author of every book is Vedvyas, and no other scholar.
Please throw some light on this.

     hare rama !!

  • there are many many proofs for mahabharata, ramayana, shrimad bhagwatam etc.. if they strongly believe in modern science then use this single sentence to defeat them –

in hanuman chalisa it is mentioned –
    "jug sahastra yojan par bhanu''
as hanuman chalisa written in 15th century by tulsidasa, that time modern science was not came into existence.
this line " jug sahastra yojan par bhanu' tell us the exact distance between sun and earth as follows –

**Distance between Sun and Earth is Mentioned in “Hanuman Chalisa”- An Ancient Prayer**

According to Modren Astronomy and Science , we know that the earth’s orbit around the sun is not a circle and is slightly elliptical. Therefore, the distancebetween the earth and the sun varies throughout the year.

At its nearest point on the ellipse that is the earth’s orbit around the sun, the earth is 91,445,000 miles (147,166,462 kms) from the sun. This point in the earth’s orbit is known as Periapsis (perihelion) and it occurs around January 3.

The earth is farthest away from the sun around July 3 when it is 94,555,000 miles (152,171,522 km) from the sun. This point in the earth’s orbit is called Apoapsis (aphelion). The average distance from the earth to the sun is 92,955,807 miles (149,597,870.691 km).

According to Records, For the first time in 1672, Jean Richer and Giovanni Domenico Cassini measured the distance between Earth and Sun as 22,000 times of Earth Radii.( Earth’s Radius is 6,371 Kms).
    i.e 22000 * 6371 kms = 140,162,000 kms (140 Million Kms).

only one line of Hindu Prayer ” Hanuman Chalisa” computes this distance with great simplicity.

    'juug sahasra yojan par bhanu''
This means that Sun (भानु) is at a distance of Juug Sahastra Yojans (जुग सहस्त्र योजन- Distance Unit in Hindi)

According to following conversion practices that are in use as per Hindu Vedic Literature-

    1 Juug = 12000
    1 Sahastra= 1000
    1 Yojan = 8 Miles
    Thus
    12000 X 1000 X 8 = 96,000,000 miles
    1 mile = 1.6 kms
This further implies that distance is 96,000,000 * 1.6 kms = 153,600,000 Kms

Hanuman challisa was written by Goswami Tulasidas (born 15th century) in Awadhi language who belongs to 15th century. which means the distance between Sun and earth has been calculated much more accurately than the 17th century scientists even before 2 centuries.

The Questions like “how Tulsidas calculated this distance” or “how he is able to know about this distance” are not limited but “What are the advanced technologies our ancient ancestors used, regarding which we have no clues “. We also have to observe that the people of that age have more Talent, knowledge, capabilities and much more advanced technology that is beyond the imagination of our present day technologies.

    proofs for mahabharata –
Mahabharata Is Real and NOT A MYTH

(even if you believe in MAHABHARATA please share for those people who doesnt believe in Mahabharata or for those who still dont know anything about Mahabharata)

THE TRUTH IS NOT FOR ALL - ANCIENT EXPLORERS SAID.

THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF PROOFS - SOME ARE HERE

    1) There are many proofs of LORD KRISHNA'S dwarika city - images are below.
    see the video here-

2)There is a temple - Malanada Temple(http://www.malanada.com/) in the Edakkad Ward of the Kerala village named Poruvazhy where Duryodhana is worshipped till date....Makes sense, that Mahabharat cannot be just a myth...

Duryodhana began his journey to the southern forest and finally reached where the Malanada Temple is positioned at present. He was so exhausted that he knocked the nearby house and asked for water without realizing that the house belonged to a chieftain of the shudra tribe, Kurava. A elderly woman immediately offered him a toddy to drink (a custom as a respect to Kings) along with a herbal concoction which could ease his exhaustion.

Refreshed, the Hastinapur Yuvraj got up to thank the woman and to his surprise noticed her mangalsutra, which indicated her social status. As per the customs, none of the Kshatriya should eat or drink anything offered by the lower classes.

Moreover, it was a crime for any low caste person to offer drinks and eatables to a Kshatriya. The woman feared that she would be punished for her crime. However, Duryodhana astonished her by saying, “Mother, there is no caste for thirst and hunger.” He was touched by the helping nature of the lady – a lady who risked her own life to help a thirsty prince.

He did not punish her at all, nor he gave her shrap unlike others. Instead, he sat in dhyan on the nearby hill and started worshipping Lord Shiva for the welfare of the Kurava tribe, praying that no divine wrath should be casted upon the tribesmen for feeding a Kshatriya.
This surprised the villagers who rushed in to see the unique high born man who was way different from all the proudy upper caste men who punished them severely and treated them only as downtroddens. Duryodhana then donated the tribesman, 101 yojanas of land and announced that he was gifting them a temple with no idol. He insisted that the priest of the temple would be a Kurava untouchable only.
Till this date the priest of the temple with no idol are the descendants of the old woman. However, the presiding diety is Duryodhana and the minor dieties include his wife Bhanumati, his mother Gandhari and his friend Karna.

The people of this village and tribe worship Duryodhana till date...

    3) Researchers such as Subhash Kak(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subhash_Kak) have been researching on Mahabharata and Vedic civilization. They dated Mahabharata to the same period and verified the astronomical references. This article gives a detailed explanation and evidences he found - (Paper Linked-https://docs.google.com/viewer…). Both of the papers I linked here gives a detailed proof for the Mahabharata.
Apart from the modern day astronomers, even Aryabhata(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aryabhata) acknowledged that Mahabharata was a real event and calculated that Mahabharata war happened approximately 3100 B.C.

    //

    4) Moreover, all places mentioned in Mahabharata are real places, all are identified as real places. For instance,
Hastinapur is in UP. Indraprastha is the present day Delhi. Dwarka is located in Gujarat coast.

    5) there are many proofs of - ashwatthama(son of drona,a warrior of mahabharata )because of lord krishna's curse he is still alive and seen by many peoples.

    see links -

    6) Artifacts found(see images) in the submerged city of Dwarka, amongst them a copper bell.
Carbon dating shows that its about 5000 years old.
According to srimad Bhagavatam & other sciptures, Dwarka submerged in year
    3102 B.C (which is approx 5100 years)
