Hare Krishna dear devotees
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I wanted to ask something that I think many devotees, especially younger people and householders, struggle with in modern life.
I sincerely want to improve my Krishna consciousness, chant attentively, read scriptures daily, and stay spiritually focused. But at the same time, work pressure, studies, social responsibilities, financial stress, and family expectations often consume most of my time and energy.
Sometimes I feel inspired spiritually for a few days, but then material responsibilities pull my mind away again. I also struggle with consistency in sadhana because of exhaustion, distractions from phone/social media, and anxiety about the future.
My questions are:
How do you practically maintain steady sadhana in a busy modern lifestyle?
How many rounds or reading habits helped you become consistent?
How do you avoid burnout while still progressing spiritually?
How can we stay connected to Krishna without neglecting family, career, or education?
What advice from Srila Prabhupada or personal realizations helped you most during difficult periods?
I would really appreciate hearing practical experiences from devotees who faced similar struggles and found balance.
Hare Krishna
